Pricing: Free to launch with no application required and no exclusivity agreement. Ream charges a flat 10% platform commission on all revenue, plus payment processing fees (2.9% + $0.30 per card transaction, plus a 0.5% recurring-billing fee on subscriptions, with extra fees for international cards, currency conversion, chargeback protection, and sales-tax/VAT collection). Two payout setups exist: Ream Managed (Ream handles billing, tax, and payouts) and Direct (the author connects their own Stripe). After all fees, Ream's own guidance is that authors typically keep 80%+ of revenue — sometimes 85%+ for Direct authors who minimize optional add-ons. A subscriber paying $10/month nets the author roughly $8 after the 10% commission and standard processing. Both free follower tiers and paid subscription tiers are supported.

Strengths#
