Wolfsparrow Covers

Teresa Conner has run Wolfsparrow Covers since 2018, serving romance authors and small presses from a business governed by Alabama law. Her positioning — "No AI. No shortcuts. No compromises. Every design is crafted intentionally" — sits in the footer of every page on the site, and the homepage sharpens it to "No AI. No middlemen." That is a real differentiator in romance subgenres where readers actively watch for generated imagery.

She is a published author herself, writing erotic romance and erotica as Torrance Sené for Cleis Press, HarperCollins UK and indie presses, and has worked as marketing coordinator at Booksweeps, a proofreader for Evernight Publishing, and a designer for Book Brush, Everand/Scribd and The INKfluence.

Not strictly solo. The About page introduces a second designer, Ava, a senior-year graphic design student, and the homepage bills Teresa as "Lead Designer" rather than sole designer. Treat this as a very small team, not a one-person shop.

• Custom cover design (from $350): Ebook, paperback, hardcover, dust jacket and audiobook are all offered. Combination packages exist but are quote-only — no ceiling price is published.
• Premade covers ($50–$110): 28 single designs live at the time of checking, plus two three-book trilogy bundles at $250. Sold through an off-site Payhip storefront in two tiers: Budget Premades ($50 and $80, 17 designs) and Premade Book Covers ($100–$110, 11 designs).

• Canva templates ($8, or $20 for a 3-set bundle): Eight seasonal book-promo sets of 30+ graphics each.
• Author branding and promo ($70–$250): Branding package $250 (logo, wordmark, colour palette, favicon, business card), social media pack from $70 for 10 static graphics, PR design and interior artwork from $100, 3D mockups from $50 for 10.
• Beyond covers: Interior formatting from $500 (print only), sprayed edges $150, slipcase design $275, Kickstarter campaign design $200, typographical colouring pages $150 for 5, merch and swag by quote, and virtual assistance from $350 for 10 hours.

• Romance authors across sub-genres: The live catalogue is contemporary, dark, discreet, spicy, erotica, historical, romantasy, fantasy, monster, mafia and hockey romance. Third-party directory Cover Designer Directory, which vetted her before listing, records her genres as contemporary, paranormal and sweet romance.
• Authors on a tight first-book budget: The $50 budget premades are among the cheapest exclusive covers from a named designer in this directory.
• Authors actively avoiding AI imagery: The no-AI commitment is a public positioning statement, not fine print.

Limitations#

• No custom pricing beyond the starting figure: $350 is where cover design begins; every combination package requires a quote, so the real ceiling is unknown before you contact her.
• No published revision, deposit or turnaround terms for custom work: A site-wide search returns zero matches for "revision" or "deposit", and no production turnaround is published anywhere. The only committed timings are a 1–2 business day email reply (no weekend replies) and contact within 48 business hours of a premade purchase.
• Terms and Conditions cover the website, not the service: The page is generic boilerplate from a template generator, last touched in 2021, and carries no clauses on licensing, copyright, refunds or delivery for design work.
• Premades are strictly as-is: Text change only — no new models, no colour changes — and all sales are final with no refunds or exchanges.
• No custom illustration: The services page states outright that character and other custom illustration is not offered.
• Thin, timing-dependent premade shelf: Fewer than 30 designs are live at once and each sells only once, so the catalogue you browse today may not hold what you need.
• A stale on-site shop page still advertises genres she no longer sells: /shop/, last updated in 2023, lists LGBTQAI+, BIPOC, horror/thriller, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy and YA categories, but every link points to a Storenvy storefront that no longer responds. The live Payhip catalogue is romance only. One homepage testimonial credits her with thriller covers, but romance is the only genre the current site and shop support.
