TS95 Studios is the solo practice of Hampton Lamoureux, a Florida-based cover designer who has worked with indie authors since 2014 and formalized the studio brand in 2017. The work is stock-photo compositing — elaborate, realistic scenes built from licensed imagery and original artwork — behind an explicit "AI-FREE GRAPHICS" commitment stated on the homepage and repeated on both package cards.

What You Get#

• Direct designer access: Hampton handles every project personally. No middlemen, no outsourcing, no junior designer between brief and final file.
• 3 revision rounds: Included on both packages. The price of a fourth round is not published.
• AI-free compositing: Covers are built from licensed DepositPhotos stock and original artwork, with 3D mockups included.
• 50/50 payment, installments available: Half up front via Stripe, half on completion before final files are released. Larger projects can be split into installments.
• Same-day deposit refund: "Receive your full deposit back within the same day of your refund request" if you are unhappy with the initial direction.
• Quote-only extras: Box set design, audiobook covers, map design, social graphics, website design, and interior formatting are all offered with no published price.

Who It's For#

• Fantasy, sci-fi, urban fantasy, thriller, and horror authors: Each has a dedicated genre page and portfolio. The thriller page also claims mystery, action, and dark fiction.
• Nonfiction and literary authors: A separate Nonfiction & Assorted Fiction line covers religion, business, biography, memoir, poetry, and historical and contemporary fiction — broader than the studio's speculative-fiction marketing suggests. Cozy mystery is the notable gap.
• Authors bundling cover and interior: A 10% discount applies to both services when ordered together.

Pricing: Ebook cover $375–$425; ebook + print wrap $425–$475, covering up to two paperback formats. Series discounts exist but are quote-only, as is every add-on service.

Strengths#

• Full rights transfer: The FAQ confirms the client "retains full rights to finished work for personal and commercial use." Most custom studios in this category grant an exclusive licence and keep the copyright.
• Credit is requested, not required: Attribution is "appreciated but not mandated." Deranged Doctor Design, Bookfly, and Miblart each bind a credit line in their terms.
• Verifiable no-AI stance: "AI-FREE GRAPHICS" on the homepage and "(no AI)" on both packages is an explicit vendor claim, not the silence that passes for a no-AI policy elsewhere.
• ALLi partner status, confirmed vendor-side: The Alliance of Independent Authors logo appears on the TS95 homepage, and the pricing page separately states "official member of the Alliance of Independent Authors."
• Award record: TheBookDesigner.com's own August 2019 and June 2020 monthly e-book cover award posts credit Hampton Lamoureux for six covers, one of them a Gold Star pick.

Limitations#

• The awards are six years old: Those TheBookDesigner appearances date to 2019–2020. It is a genuine credential, but not a current one.
• No turnaround published anywhere: The homepage, FAQ, contact page, pricing page, and all nine genre pages state no delivery window, queue length, or booking status. Confirm availability directly before committing to a launch date.
• No terms or legal page exists: The 53-URL sitemap contains none. Deposit, rights, and credit terms live only in the FAQ, which leaves the stock-image copy cap, whether a layered PSD is ever delivered, and the cost of a fourth revision round unpublished.
• Thin public review trail: The only named source is Facebook — 100% recommend across 9 reviews. No Trustpilot or Google profile exists. The widely repeated "500+ covers completed" figure appears nowhere on the current site or Hampton's social profiles.
• Mid-market floor: $375 sits above Creativindie's rebuilt $349 entry tier and well above Ebook Launch's $99 premade line.

Alternatives#

Deranged Doctor Design ($400–$695, explicit no-AI) is the closest stylistic competitor for dark fantasy and thriller, but it requires a credit line and runs a 2–3 month queue. Creativindie's rebuilt $349/$549/$849 ladder now undercuts TS95's floor and publishes a 2–3 week turnaround. Miblart ($200–$700, also ALLi-vetted) is cheaper across more genres but requires attribution unless you buy a white-label agreement.
