Miblart is a Ukraine-based custom book cover studio with one of the strongest reputations in indie publishing: Trustpilot 4.8/5 from 377 reviews, a place in the Alliance of Independent Authors partner directory, and 16,000+ covers over ten years. The studio operates under the Mibl Group umbrella alongside GetCovers, its budget custom-design sibling. Four things distinguish it from similarly priced competitors: unlimited revisions that continue for a month after delivery, no prepayment at all on photo-manipulated covers, a written no-AI policy, and full transfer of the artwork to the author.

Prices rose sharply in 2026 — the entry ebook cover went from $149 to $220 — so Miblart now sits mid-band rather than at the bottom of the custom-studio range.

Payment model: Photo-manipulated and audiobook covers require no deposit — you pay only after approving the final design, and payment can be split into two instalments at no cost. Illustrated and premium covers take a deposit, but the rate varies by product rather than being a flat half: 50% on the standard illustrated cover ($195), vector ($150), fantasy map ($150) and premium ($350), but 37.5% on children's ($75), 35% on a custom character ($70) and 25% on cartoonish ($75).

Limitations#

• Mandatory design credit. Unless you buy a white-label agreement, the terms require "Cover designed by MiblArt" to appear on your back cover or copyright page. Ask for a white-label quote upfront if that matters to your imprint.
• Prices climbed roughly 40% in 2026. At $220–$270 Miblart no longer undercuts Western studios by the margin it once did; compare against the current field rather than a remembered price.
• The money-back guarantee is narrower than the marketing. Miblart's own blog advertises a "100% money-back guarantee", but the terms only refund a deposit if you reject the illustrated sketch, or on cancellation before work starts. Once illustration begins the deposit is gone, and no post-approval refund is defined for a standard cover.
• Illustrated timelines: a 21-day first draft plus revision rounds puts full illustrated covers outside an imminent launch window.
• Stock licence caps at 500,000 print copies — the category default, but an extended licence is your cost if a book breaks out.
• The site contradicts itself on details. The FAQ still quotes a $100 second concept (cards say $150), a 7–10 business day first draft (cards say 7) and a flattened source file (cover cards say layered). Confirm the specifics in writing on your order.
• Ukraine-based: the studio has continued operating through wartime; occasional communication slowdowns during high-stress periods are documented by some reviewers.

Alternatives#

GetCovers ($10–$35, also Mibl Group) is the budget sibling — same parent company, custom design from a brief too, but staffed with junior designers and licensing rather than transferring the artwork. Ebook Launch is the closest Western-studio competitor and now sits well above Miblart on custom work ($497+) while offering a $99 premade line Miblart has no answer to.
