Strengths

  • Transparent credit costs: Every AI action has a published price, with worked totals such as 66 credits for a 20-chapter novel with a cover.
  • Honest research data: Keywords and niches come from Amazon's live suggestions, with no invented search-volume numbers.
  • Clear on AI and rights: You own your books, and the vendor names its AI providers: Anthropic for text, Google Gemini for illustrations, OpenAI for covers.

Limitations

  • Front cover only: The AI cover has no spine or back. You have to build the full paperback wrap elsewhere, using the free size calculator.
  • No independent track record: Searches turned up no independent reviews on Trustpilot, Reddit or author-resource sites. Its Fazier launch page had 1 upvote.
  • Terms lag the product: Section 1 of the terms still describes the service as "short non-fiction ebooks".
  • Whole-book AI generation: AI-generated text and images must be disclosed to KDP, may have limited copyright protection, and are a known flashpoint with readers.
  • No annual plan or team seats.

BookDraft is a web-based AI book creator for Amazon KDP. It covers the whole loop: niche and keyword research from Amazon's search suggestions, AI-written and AI-illustrated books, page layout, an AI front cover, and KDP listing copy. It is run by a company called Aimbelo and is very new; the first Wayback Machine capture of the site is from October 2026.

What You Get

  • Book makers: AI-generated nonfiction, novels (via a "Story Blueprint" and outline), children's picture books, coloring books, and word search, sudoku, maze and word scramble books.
  • Niche Finder: Turns a topic into 3 to 6 niche ideas built from Amazon search-box suggestions. The vendor says these are ideas, not sales data.
  • Keyword Finder: Lists Amazon's autocomplete suggestions for an idea, ranks them 1 to 5 by strength, and flags phrases KDP doesn't allow. It shows no search volumes, because Amazon doesn't publish them.
  • Book Layout Studio: A page editor with 10 fonts, KDP trim sizes and image uploads. It flags low-resolution or off-page art before export.
  • Exports: A print-ready interior PDF for every book type, plus Word (DOCX) and EPUB for novels and nonfiction.
  • AI cover and KDP Listing Kit: A 2K front cover with lettering read back for errors, and drafts of the title, subtitle, description, 7 keywords and 3 categories.
  • Free tools, no sign-up: KDP royalty and cover size calculators, a keyword checker, and puzzle generators.

Who It's For

  • Low-content and activity-book publishers: Coloring, puzzle and children's books get the most purpose-built tooling, and a puzzle book costs about 24 credits.
  • KDP nonfiction publishers: Short guides go from outline to formatted PDF/EPUB in one workflow.
  • Not for: Novelists who want help with their own prose. BookDraft drafts whole chapters rather than editing your manuscript.

Pricing: One plan, Pro, at $29/month billed monthly, with 300 credits per month that don't roll over. New accounts get 15 free credits once, with no card needed. Credits pay only for AI output: a chapter costs 2, a coloring page 4, an AI cover 20 and a niche search 1. Editing, layout, exports and puzzle building use no credits, and failed generations aren't charged. Once the trial credits are gone, the free calculators, puzzle makers and Keyword Finder remain. You can cancel anytime, but partial months aren't pro-rated, and the terms handle refunds "case by case".

Alternatives

kdpbook.io is the closest match. It generates complete picture, coloring and puzzle books and also exports a full wrap cover, but its free plan is a one-time trial whose watermarked output can't be sold. For low-content research and design without whole-book AI writing, Book Bolt is the established option.
