What You Get#

• Budget ($395): One custom draft, 3 revision rounds, custom stock imagery sourcing included. This is the "starts at" price the homepage advertises for custom ebook cover design.
• Standard front cover ($645): Two different first-draft concepts, unlimited changes, layered Photoshop file, no stock image fees. Damonza's most popular package and the one the subscription plan redeems against.
• Premium front cover (from $1,695): Four first-draft concepts, a kick-off call with the creative director, premium rights-managed image sourcing, all ebook file formats, unlimited changes. Priced "from" because rights-managed licensing can add to it — the publisher page quotes roughly $500 when a rights-managed image is needed.

Strengths#

• Unlimited revisions: Standard and Premium include unlimited revision rounds — rare at this price tier in custom cover design.
• A binding, author-facing AI opt-out: Damonza's order form carries a generative-AI opt-out checkbox, and the published policy commits that opting out covers the cover, print extensions, and any marketing collateral. If the studio believes it cannot meet the brief without AI, it says so before design work starts and offers a full refund. Where AI is allowed, the delivery message states whether and where it was used. Most studios that use AI disclose it only in their terms, if at all.

Limitations#

• Currently running behind schedule: A banner on Damonza's order pages states the studio is "around 5 to 7 days behind schedule" on both cover design and formatting because of order volume (checked August 2026). Add that to the 14-day first-draft target when planning a launch date.
• The guarantee is 100%, not 120%: Damonza previously advertised a 120% deposit-back guarantee. Every current page — homepage, cover design page, and FAQ — now says 100% deposit-back, so the refund is your deposit and nothing more.
• Generative AI is used by default: Damonza generates individual cover elements with tools including Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL·E, Gemini, and Freepik, then composites them with stock and human design work. Never the full cover and never the typography, and every image is corrected by a designer — but AI-averse authors must tick the opt-out, and covers with AI elements require a private disclosure to Amazon KDP at publication.
• Pricing above mid-market: The Standard two-concept package at $645 costs more than several comparable studios, and Premium's $1,695 floor is among the highest custom-studio entry points in this directory. Budget-focused authors will find cheaper alternatives.
