MacWhisper runs OpenAI Whisper and Nvidia Parakeet models locally on your Mac, turning recordings into text — interviews, voice memos, Zoom calls, YouTube URLs. **Buy the right one:** the developer ships this product twice. The direct download from macwhisper.com (checkout on Gumroad) is **MacWhisper**. The App Store version is **Whisper Transcription** and has **no dictation at all** — Apple's sandboxing blocks it.
