Creators pick one of two models — Optional Tips (0% platform fee; ~95% of supporters voluntarily tip to cover the third-party processing fees) or Fee Recovery (5% platform fee plus processing, with 85–95% of supporters covering both). The platform earns the same either way, so the creator decides how it gets paid. Crowdfundr says its average cost to creators lands around 2%, versus ~8.5% on competing platforms. Campaigns can be all-or-nothing or keep-what-you-raise, and there's no approval process, so authors can launch in under an hour.
