Jericho Writers – Simply Self Publish

Simply Self Publish is Jericho Writers' flagship self-publishing course, offered as part of one of the UK's most respected creative writing organizations (formerly The Writers' Workshop, founded 2000). The course is tutored by Debbie Young — an award-shortlisted indie author and ALLi Ambassador — and runs as an intimate ten-week program with a maximum of ten students per cohort.

The small-group structure is the defining feature: unlike most self-publishing courses with hundreds or thousands of students and no instructor interaction, Simply Self Publish provides weekly assignment feedback, live group webinars, and genuine peer community in a cohort small enough for everyone to know each other by name.

Two course tiers:

CORE (from £1,000 / ~$1,250 USD) — Full access to all ten weeks of course content, weekly tasks and reading lists, permanent replay access, end-of-course assignment with written tutor feedback, a post-course one-to-one call, and one year of Jericho Writers Premium Membership (normally £15/month, covering an extensive video library and 10% discounts on editing).

FULL (from £2,000 / ~$2,500 USD) — Everything in CORE plus weekly tutor feedback on assignments, live weekly group webinars where you can ask questions directly, two years of Premium Membership, and a more intensive accountability structure.

Enrollment: The course runs roughly twice a year as a fixed-start cohort. The next intake starts 6 October 2026, with applications open until 31 August 2026. Payment plans are available.
