Strengths#

Limitations#

• Not a bookkeeping or tax tool: ScribeCount tracks income and ad ROI but does not handle expense categorization, invoicing, double-entry bookkeeping, or tax filing. Authors still need a separate accounting tool for Schedule C preparation
• No free tier: As of late 2024, the $0 option for authors earning under $1,000/month was discontinued. New authors paying $9.99/month before their royalties justify the cost face an immediate upfront investment
• KDP-focused authors have a cheaper alternative: Book Report offers a free tier for KDP-focused authors earning under $1,000/month. ScribeCount's value scales with distribution breadth
